Summary

I'm so glad I read this story. The entire work was absolutely gorgeous - the writing was incredibly powerful and very relatable, even with me being someone who shared so few of the experiences Stiles and Derek have in this. The author has this particular quality to her descriptions that is just absolutely stunning. I found myself rereading paragraphs over and over not because I didn't comprehend them fully, but because they were just so beautiful that I felt like they deserved more than one quick brush past. The characterization is absolutely flawless, and while I know next to nothing about blindness or PTSD, everything felt incredibly well-researched and I give the author major major props for that. The art is absolutely impeccable as well, and its presence doesn't distract from the rest of the story like what I normally find to be the case in illustrated stories, rather adding to it. I normally don't write super long reviews for works, but this was honestly just so flawless that I feel like I need to shout it from the rooftops. Reading this was an absolute pleasure and I'll definitely be coming back to this many times.

Isaac wasn’t really expecting much when he applied to school; the pack’s home is only an hour away, courtesy of Derek’s second-in-command and suspiciously altruistic uncle, and Boyd and Erica go here, too, so it’s not like he’s far from them. Not like he wants to be, anyway. But still. He just wanted to go to class and get a degree and live a semi-normal university life.
So of course there’s a freaking alpha taking the same gen ed requirement as him.
