Every feeling that Ilya remembered having about Shane from the moment they’d set eyes on each other that first time came rushing back with such force that it nearly knocked Ilya on his feet.
Shane looked exactly as he had the last time Ilya had laid eyes on him. Shorter than him by a solid three inches. Deceptively lean. A splash of freckles across his nose. Jaw sharp and clearly tight with what was probably a mixture of nerves and determination. He was, by all means, a very attractive person, something that Ilya had tried very hard to forget.
Ilya clenched his jaw against that heady desire to protect and stuck out his hand. “Welcome to Centaurs, Hollander.”

Summary
Shane snaps out of his thoughts, coming back to himself from where he’s been sitting on the bench in the locker room waiting for practice. He’s already dressed in his gear and he’s been watching Ilya get dressed, his eyes scanning over every inch of him that he could see. Ilya’s finally covered up his upper half which had been why Shane was thinking about licking every one of his moles.
OR
Shane worships Ilya's body by handcuffing him to the bed and kissing every mole on his husband's body.

Five months after Sochi, Shane's set to play a charity hockey game in Paris. So is Ilya.
They run into each other in the lobby of their hotel the night before. Twelve hours stretch out in front of them, and Ilya suggests something different: no phones, no expectations, no past, no hockey. Just the city, and whatever they can be when nobody else is watching.
It's obviously a terrible idea, but Shane says yes, anyway.

Shane lifts one eyelid again to look at Rozanov. His eyes are red-rimmed. Like he’s been crying. “Why…why aren’t you in Boston?”
Rozanov’s brow furrows. “Why would I be in Boston?”
“You, you’re captain. Raiders. Boston.”
The room is silent except for the beeping of monitors.
In 2023, Shane takes a bad hit on the ice. When he wakes up, the last thing he remembers is a tuna melt.
There’s a lot to get used to.
