Summary
After weeks and weeks of playing for Harry’s class- playing for Harry himself- Niall had found a whole new muse. New keys, different melodies. Something more calming and...slower. Deeper somehow. He wanted light notes to match the sound of en pointe footfalls on hardwood, deep treble clef undertones that sounded like slow, sleepy morning voices. The song he was itching to play was not matching his final piece- too many frantic runs and not enough feeling.. Sure it would show off his skill and talent but not his passion. Not really. Harry danced like he was the art himself.

Summary
“Haz, will you stop dancing and just hold the bloody camera steady?” Niall groans, tossing a wedge of lime at his flat-mate/ best friend/ secret crush/ camera man/ pretty much everything else. And really, he should be used to this by now, because Harry does this every week, but that doesn’t make it any less frustrating on multiple levels.
“Stop playing this jaunty tune then.” Harry laughs, dropping any pretense of filming in order to flail about wildly to the Irish folk music that Niall has playing to accompany his show. This happens every time. Niall really shouldn’t be surprised. He shouldn’t even play the music, because he always has to re-layer it in editing so that it doesn’t skip around.
“Jaunty tune- Who- Who even says shite like that?” Niall cackles, letting himself join in with Harry’s strange dance rather than get angry over things. He couldn’t stay mad at Harry for any longer than about five seconds even if he tried. Harry just has that effect on him.

It was then he realized the complication in the situation wasn't that Zayn didn't tell him. It wasn't the fact that Liam didn't prevent it, either, nor was it Louis and his encouragement. Niall could easily over look those, take them with a pinch of salt. No, they weren't the problem at all. The problem was Harry - the fact that he lied, straight up lied to his face as if he wouldn't find out. Niall knew all along and yet Harry still denied it. And just like that, Niall felt torn of every ounce of belief he once had for a person of whom he trusted with his life.

“This?” he asked, gesturing towards his chest. “Oh, you know, just breasts!” he snapped, picking up the pillow and throwing it back at Niall. “What did you do to me?!”

Harry eyes him from behind the teddy bear, and Niall doesn’t look threatening, but. “Why’d you want to lend me your bag? Are you trying to rope me into something?”
“I don’t think I have it in me to blackmail or sabotage anyone, let alone the endearing, fit bloke who’s brave enough to cry over a stuffed toy in the middle of an airport,” Niall tells him, smile smaller, but somehow more meaningful. “I just want to help you get home. Seems like you need to.”
(Where Harry can’t seem to make his luggage light enough to get checked in, and Niall offers him his extra baggage allowance. Then fate intervenes, the way it does.)
