Kaeya laughs a touch too loud for it to be fake, bringing one gloved hand to his mouth in an attempt to stifle himself, and Diluc cannot help the little smile that pulls at the corners of his lips. The sound is childish, gleeful, and until now, Diluc hadn’t even realized how much he had missed it.
When the captain’s laughter subsides, he looks over at Diluc, mirth fading quietly into something that looks a lot like affection.
“My, Master Diluc,” he says, softly smiling at the man before he takes a sip of tea. “You still have some surprises left in you after all.”
- OR five times Kaeya visits without Diluc's invitation, and one time he is invited.

Summary
There exist dragons that hold mastery over the various elements. Of one particular kind are the Celestials: they are tied to the stars, moon, and sun - forever bound and woven into the order of the world.
But by the folly of mankind, catastrophe descends upon the land. The Celestials are hit the hardest; they are wiped out and declared extinct, with Aether among them.
Xiao, who commands the wind and air, mourns his death. He mourns for many moons, never truly able to move on.
That is, until the discovery of a number of surviving Celestials.These remaining dragons are weak, a shadow of their former glory, and are exceedingly few in number.
Yet, Xiao can't help but to hope.OR:

Summary
This started as Owlcatober 2021 prompts inspired by lunarowena's list. Still sticking to the prompts mostly but deviating when needed for the narrative. Featuring an iomedae-worshipping dhampir who decides her existence isn't confusing enough and what the heck, let's become an Angel too.
A majority of these focus on Lann and the commander's relationship.
This is roughly a straight retelling in order by chapter, so later chapters will have major spoilers, both endgame and angel route.

Xiao frowned, that was definitely not what he was expecting. He released the vampire's wrist, his other hand pulling the dagger he had at his waist, pointing it at the ground in front of him.
"Sit down" he said firmly, the blond nodded, backing away carefully and sitting in front of the hunter at a safe distance, while looking at the dagger with wide eyes "Explain yourself."
"You know a lot about vampires, right?" he asked. Xiao nodded, keeping the same serious and impassive expression.
"Well I don't. And if you've noticed I'm kind of one now" he grimaced before sighing "I have no idea what to do." [...]

Summary
Hidden behind the gush of water was the voice of a man, a deep voice speaking each word as though it had been dipped in ice, a cold slew of words that sent shivers down Xiao’s spine. Reluctantly he took a step forward, willing the winds around him to rest so he could hear better.
“For a mortal, you have a lot of strength,” the deep voice spoke, somewhere in the back of his mind Xiao registered the voice, the familiarity barely cutting through the haze he found himself in. “Unfortunately mere strength has no chance against the force of the Abyss,” his eyes widened, mouth opening and closing as he felt his breath catch in his throat. The sound of a dagger slicing through the air was the last thing Xiao heard before the same shrill scream ripped through the forest.

Reki doesn't know the first thing about kissing and after a bit of light-hearted taunting, gets the idea to practice with Langa. They're best friends, aren't they? So they should help each other out. Boy lips couldn't be that different from girl lips anyway. Langa, meanwhile, knows this isn't a good idea. Yet, if having Reki to himself is ultimately impossible, then might as well take what he can get--even if it is going to be painful in the end.
Their experimentation starts out innocently enough, but with curiosity and raging hormones at play, they might be too late by the time they go too far.

“It pains me to know this is what you see yourself as.” The outlander's hands traveled from his stomach to each side of his face, cradling his cheeks with that same care that threw the adeptus off. “Xiao, you couldn't be more wrong.”

“Venti,” Aether tries again, wetting his lips. “When Zhongli lost his Gnosis,” he says and the words are so carefully chosen that it arouses suspicion in the former Anemo Archon, “he seems to have lost something else.”
“His dignity and self-respect?” grumbles Venti, unhelpfully.
“Is he always like this?” asks Zhongli, plainly.
“Oh, you trunkless legs of stone, did I strike a nerve, did I —” starts Venti but then pointedly clamps his mouth shut. A cold chill races down his spine. “What did you mean?” he asks instead. Swallowing down a lump of nerves, Venti continues, “You know I’m always like this, blockhead.”
or, zhongli loses his memories temporarily after giving up his gnosis and the traveler brings him to mondstadt so venti can pick up the pieces. era-long misunderstandings come to the surface and venti learns the meaning of 'always'.
