Kaveh reached down into his pocket to feel for the remote just for his hand to grace nothing. Checking his other pocket as well as the floor around him, he found that he no longer had the control in his possession.
He can’t find the remote.
His heart seemed to drop as the stronger vibrations continued, he tried to stop the panicked expression from gracing his face once he looked back up at Alhaitham who had a strange new look in his eyes.

Kaveh is but a stressed and overworked office worker, and his only wish is to get through the stress of it all by spending his free time doing something productive and stimulating.
Something like an additional class or hobby, one that will keep him entertained and hopefully broaden his circle of friends (he wouldn't say no to something more, either).
So Tighnari, as Kaveh's best friend and also a little shit on occasion, signs him up for self-defense classes.
Except he kept one little tiny detail out: namely, the information that it was a one on one class.

“That was stress,” Kaveh manages to say without stuttering, and then immediately fucks it up, because her eyes caught on a little necklace dangling at Alhaitham’s chest. Her very nicely shaped chest. “But I can breas—branch! Branch out. SO, recommendations?”
“Hm,” Alhaitham says—and smiles. It’s kind of threatening. Kaveh’s too gay to care. “Then I recommend the honeycomb ice shaken espresso latte with extra caramel drizzle and whipped cream.”
“That sounds perfect!” Kaveh says.
It does not sound perfect. It sounds like it will send her into an early grave.
Kaveh really wants to impress the hot new barista at her favourite cafe, and, well, what's a little diabetes in the name of love?
