The first time it happened, Bucky didn’t know what to think. In fact, that was a feeling that persisted as the incident occurred again and again. It started out with a single magnet with a quote from Robocop on it that Tony slapped on after a check-up he’d done on the arm. Bucky had peeled it off and stuck it to his fridge instead. It wasn’t the first time to genius had done something that might be considered off, though, and Bucky let it slide. Tony, after all, was the only one who didn’t seem horribly freaked out by the arm in the first place.

Cos frankly, diapers scare the shit out of me. I will be no help there."“First of all, the kid’s four.” Colonel Rhodes stated flatly. “No diapers. Second of all--”
“It’s not Tony’s child, it’s Tony.” Pepper finished wearily. “Something happened at the Sanctum, Tony touched something he wasn't supposed to touch and he’s four years old now. I have no idea what’s going on or how long it will take to fix itself. Right now we’re just rolling with it, alright?”
“Rolling with it.” Clint repeated. “With a ridiculously cute four year old with squirrel cheekies and an IQ high enough to make me dizzy? Just rolling with that, huh?”

It started out as a joke.
“I can definitely do more push ups than Steve.” Sam said casually– oh so casually– over cereal one morning. “His muscles just look pretty, there isn’t any real strength there.”
“You can definitely do more push ups than Steve.” Bucky casually– just so fucking casually– agreed, studiously ignoring the way Steve was coughing milk out his nose and swearing about how badly Trix tasted coming up the wrong way. “Your shoulders can carry the weight of the world, Steve’s are only there to balance out them ridiculous tiddies.”
“Oh Sam can 100%, no questions asked, without even breaking a sweat, do more push ups than Steve.” Clint had to raise his voice over the ruckus Steve was making in the background. “Sams arms are like ebony pillars, Steve’s look like the supple limbs of an Irish milk maid who spends the afternoons staring at her reflection in ye olde river in the back of ye olde pasture.”
“I can definitely do more push ups than Steve.” Sam decided.

Then Steve yelled, “SQUARE UP MOTHERFUCKER!”

"You before the serum.” Tony had to work very VERY hard to keep his face calm. “Why– why ever would that be?"
"Because its tiny and scrappy and it’s mouth is too gotdang big for its size!” Steve yelled. “Bucky gave it a bath and then took a picture and sent it to me! He said Kitten Steve looked like a drowned rat just like Human Steve used to!"
“Uh yes, good morning?” Clint also stuck his head into the kitchen. “I’m here to file a formal complaint? Bucky is teaching Kitten Steve to hunt birds and if that mangy cat takes out any more of my hair, I will be billing Stark Industries to pay for a toupee, alright?"
"Oh good I’m so glad Kitten Steve is catching on.” Steve muttered.
