She was almost ready to give up. If she didn't know that Clint would personally kill her for dying instead of waiting out on him, she would've done a lot more to antagonize the man and his cronies.
All of the other agents would say that she'd acted just as they'd expect a rookie to act—foolish and reckless. And maybe she was. But Clint would understand; Clint always understood.
But then again, she owed it to him to at least try to stay alive, even if all she wanted was to try and forget the Red Room.
