Crowley could feel when Aziraphale came to earth. He had been well on his way to seeing if there were answers at the bottom of the bottle of cheap wine when he felt it inside him. The twinge of a muscle that has not been used for a long time. 2 years. He was so surprised and angry and drunk and he was halfway to the door when he remembered to sober up. Best not to get into a drink driving accident and discorporate before he could give the bastard a piece of his mind.

When Crowley had snaked himself across the bar top, half purring, half snarling for Aziraphale to live a little, this wasn’t exactly what he meant by it. Not exclusively, anyway. If there was a list of possibilities, it may have been on there somewhere; scrawled as a hasty afterthought, perhaps under a subheading of Things That Would Surely Never Actually Happen.
But the sight of Aziraphale lying naked and debauched in the middle of his black satin sheets was not something he was about to hesitate over.
(If there was a second list, one surreptitiously scribbled on a napkin in the dark corner of a crowded bar, it would be titled Things Crowley Had No Right To Crave As Much As He Did, and it would start and end with this single bullet point)

The media had penned him a modern day Robin Hood. Aziraphale thought it was a rather fitting moniker, if not a little obvious. They named him so because for the last six months the wealthiest residents of Chicago had fallen victim to a touch of wealth redistribution, so to speak.
As the long arm of the barricade springs to life and lifts into the air the redhead behind the wheel turns to where Aziraphale is standing, tilts his sunglasses down and looks Aziraphale up and down with a smirk. He winks before peeling out and disappearing around the corner into traffic.
Aziraphale stares, mouth open, as the barricade slowly sinks back down at the exit. That smug fucking bastard. The radio crackles quietly on his belt and he cringes. His lungs are screaming at him. His heart thumping wildly in his chest. He drops his hands to his knees and tries to catch his breath. “Fuck.” He hears sirens approaching. “Fuck.”Officer Fell is on the case of a criminal known as the Snake who seems to be implementing vigilante justice all around the city. But the bad guys aren't always what they seem. Turns out, neither are the good guys.
