Kageyama hadn’t wanted to think about that factor of graduating. After all, Hinata made the game fun. There was nothing better than seeing the reactions of other teams after they executed a perfect quick attack.
“I know I promised to beat you but…” Hinata chewed on his lip. “I’m not ready to stop being teammates.”
Teammates. The word caught in his brain, and Kageyama cursed himself for having to deal with his feelings. In a moment of surprising confidence, he took a deep breath and asked, “Would you… say we’re friends?”

The boy makes a sleepy sound that Kageyama takes as a go ahead.
“I- em.” Okay, Tobio. Really? Why has he done this to himself? Why did he even go on this stupid trip to begin with? “I didn’t mean what I said about em- volleyball and your face or whatever.”
Smooth.Hinata doesn’t respond for a while until Kageyama hears a “Nic’ kill tanaksan’”
Screw Hinata and his sleep talking.“Well— fuck you too.” Kageyama spits, quickly turning off the flashlight. That was stupid. He just had to feel bad for the little shit, didn’t he?
Kageyama is just about asleep before he hears a ‘Tos’to me’Hinata receives a rightfully earned pillow in his face.
Or: Hinata and Kageyama argue, shocker, right?
A nasty fight between the two lead Hinata trying to solve the annoyingly-complex psyche of Kageyama to become the very best of friends, because that's totally what the growing knot in his stomach wants, yeah!
Kageyama on the other hand, is trying to spend the least amount of time with Shouyou while also being pushed by an unexpected force to spend the most time with him, and finding it.. wierdly okay?
