Summary
Shen Jiu is drowning on Qing Jing Peak in his struggle to become Head Disciple and then hopefully Peak Lord. He's always been good at surviving but somehow can't help wanting more than that. He just wants to make the right decision.
(In which Shen Jiu is just trying to keep his head above water dealing with his faulty cultivation and capricious Shizun, has more than a few illuminating conversations with the brothel ladies, gets caught in a sex pollen disaster with Liu Qingge, and watches the other try their best to make it right.)

Summary
“Since you’re celebrating, do you promise you won’t arrest me again tonight, Commander?”
There were three CCs at the booth now, but Fox knew it was him who was being addressed. The scorn of the ‘Commander’ was evidence enough. He made eye contact with the offending trooper. An ARC. His eyes drifted to the tattoo of a ‘5’ on his temple. Fives. Fox had heard of him, Cody had told him bits and pieces about Umbara, that he was a hero. He didn’t remember arresting him, but that certainly didn’t mean he hadn’t done so.
As the lead Commander of the Coruscant Guard in a never-ending galactic war, Fox is almost as despised by his brothers on the frontlines as he is by civilians on Coruscant. For a while, Fives does nothing to dispel that notion.
A story about the Coruscant Guard, the four Commanders who love each other fiercely but imperfectly, and one pesky ARC who won't leave Fox alone.

Summary
“We hear that His Excellency might be married by summer’s end,” the merchant’s wife says and Wei Wuxian freezes, his heart in his throat. “The Gusu Lan sect has been buying enough red silk and brocade that the merchants in Caiyi can’t satisfy the demand.”
He feels himself grow brittle inside, like a flick of a finger to his temple might make him shatter. His ears are ringing.
“Who’s the lucky bride?” he asks despite himself. His tongue sticks to the roof of his mouth.
Or: The story of a marriage.
