Summary
Prompto's life is going great for once- there's no war, no apocalypse, no prophecy. Just him, his three hot incredible boyfriends, and the happily ever after they sacrificed so much for.
Oh, and the diplomatic incident, and their first real test to see if their fragile new relationship can hold against the trials of being four of the most important people in the kingdom.

Summary
“We got-” Prompto unhooks his arm from Noctis’ shoulders and immediately divebombs into the wall of the nearest building. He slaps at his own pockets, completely unaware that he’s smashed his shoulder into solid stone and is probably scraping the skin off his arm below the hem of his sleeve. After a bit of fumbling he produces a little plastic reward capsule and holds it aloft with a triumphant jingle.
Inside the capsule is two rings, gold-foiled and cheap as shit, already battered and flaking. They might, might, fit halfway down a scrawny teenage boy’s pinkie finger.
“You have rings, so you’re getting married?” Cor asks. Thank fuck they clearly haven’t encountered condoms at any point this evening.
“And a captain’s hat,” Noctis says solemnly, nodding towards the plastic monstrosity perched on Prompto’s sculpted hair. “Captains can marry people.”

Summary
In Metropolis, the heart of the city was hope.
It has strong hands, they whispered, and it did. It has a nice smile and a gentle voice, and it smiled and spoke. It cares so much, they said, and so it did, hope a molten metal wrapped around the expectations of thousands of people, breathing life into an unliving concept. Hope had blue eyes and a nice smile and never failed them, always reached them just in the nick of time. And as generations passed, the nebulous edges sharpened with definition—he was always listening, always watching. He helped them when they needed it, from a whispered answer in an exam room to a bullet caught inches away from its target, when they invoked him with the right amount of blind, desperate faith in the unknown—with hope.
In Metropolis, it was hope.
Gotham didn’t have hope. Gotham had something else.

Summary
“A zombie attacked you?”
“We saw them in the movie and now they’re here,” Noctis says, and twists in the chair in order to press himself against Ignis. He’s usually such a bright, happy child, it hurts to see him so withdrawn. Understandable, under the circumstances, but still.
“The movie?”
“Lord Amicitia let us watch a zombie movie this afternoon,” Ignis reports.
“Ah.” Oh yes, Clarus’ first love- shitty old horror movies. He’s fond of cornering Cor when he’s stuck in the hospital and can’t escape and making him watch them with him, so Cor’s seen a zombie movie or two, or twenty. The ronin, with its almost-human body and terrifyingly human voice, would certainly seem like a zombie to a scared young boy who already has the undead on the mind.
(an attack on insomnia strands the young prince and his friends, and cor finds himself fighting to get the boys back to safety- and following the rules that will keep them alive)
