For all he wants to speak of his brother, the words are strangely hard to say. Maybe it shows in his voice, because Dean looks at him strangely.
“Well. Good. I couldn’t stand that dick.” Part of him itches to jump to his defense. He shoves down the urge. He was a killer, he reminds himself.
He was also Castiel’s brother, but that factor is far less important to anyone but himself.

This town doesn’t have any heroes. It never did. So when the world fell apart, unlike everywhere else, most people just… carried on. Still went out to eat, brought their kids to school, and hung out at the local cat cafe.
Villain attacks are common here. I mean come on, is it really even a Tuesday if your commute isn’t interrupted by some hulked-out rando trying to eat the ticket machine on the subway?
And I say there are no heroes, well maybe there was one…
