Summary
Isabel Neville, like most medieval women, is only known for her ancestry, marriage and descendants. As heiress of the second most powerful man in England and would-be Queen to the controversial Duke of Clarence, her story must have been a vivid one.
The Bygone era she lived in saw the demise of the great barons and medieval chivalry and way of life. After having recently found out that I am a direct descendant of hers I decided that it is high time that somebody wrote a story about her.
This story will be told in 3rd person through multiple POVs. The latest chapter is told through the POV of Margaret of Anjou

“And how did you come across a particularly sloppy Renoir reproduction?” Theo can’t help but ask as Boris gestures at the bartender for another two shots and smirks when Theo says reproduction. Even if Boris struck Theo as the art type, a fake Renoir is not the sphere of work that Theo could imagine Boris’ collection to be.
Boris ticks a thumbnail against the side of his glass pensively. “Friend of friend gave it to me. A gift of sorts. One of my associates suggested I get it looked at by professional.”
“And you found me,” Theo finishes for him.
Boris holds his hands out, palms up, and replies, “Small world, no?”

Seeing him here, in New York, surrounded by the deep browns and golds of Hobart and Blackwell, is so alien to me I have to repress the urge to pinch myself like a child would after a dream. It looks incorrect, him standing here. Like someone has taken a pair of scissors to my memories of him, cut him out of his rightful place on the abandoned playground, and pasted him sloppily into a corner of my life where he doesn’t belong. Has it only been a few weeks? It feels like ages longer, like it’s been a decade, like we’re different people trying to see what exactly we liked about each other so much way back when.
But then he says it again- “Potter.”- and that feeling vanishes as quickly as it arrived.
“You came,” I say dumbly.
He gives a cheery smirk that I don’t believe. “Promised I would.”

He doesn’t have the opportunity to try and translate it, either; Boris’s arm reaches out and closes over Theo’s torso. He pulls him, shifting forward himself, still muttering (though now it sounds Polish).

What she notices first is the glittering, golden crown resting on his dark curls, and Anne could cry at how beautiful the thing looks. They always say beautiful things are what inspire the most bloodshed, she thinks distantly. Her eyes dart to his hand — the large, ruby coronation ring twinkling on his finger, the fineness of his hose, his midnight blue doublet, before they finally, finally, rest upon his face.
He looks finely cut, regal and removed, and despite the coolness in his eyes she can’t help but think the crown suits him far better than it did the ever-lustful Edward, or ever would the ever greedy George. Said crown hangs low on his dark, lovely, head, and Anne’s heart throbs at the reminder that they are no longer the children they once were, that she has no idea who the person sitting in front of her is.
