Summary
"At those times, Yondu hadn’t stayed at the bridge to watch the stars. He had rather stayed in his quarter, trying to find the sleep that wouldn’t come and fighting thoughts he couldn’t suppress. And it had always been Kraglin, to look at him with pillow prints on his face and barely awake. And if his first mate had ever seen the sorrows hidden behind those red eyes, he had never said anything."
Yondu remembers some of his favourite moments, before he supposedly dies. And Kraglin just wants his captain.

Summary
Stakar contacts Yondu and gives him a simple mission commissioned by a man named Ego.
Ego fell in love with a terran woman who tragically passed away, and left their son, called Peter, all alone.
Ego is sadly unable to get the boy himself and just wants his child with him as soon as possible, but Yondu has a feeling that it's not going to be that simple at all.Bookmarked by embercrest

Summary
Years later, decades really, Peter will realize that Kraglin and Yondu were doing their best with what they knew. Yondu is like a father to him, a fucked up emotionally unavailable father, but a father nonetheless. Kraglin is never a father. He isn't a mother or a cousin or even a brother. He's just family.

Summary
Rookie Kraglin is desperate for his gorgeous Centaurian captain to notice him, so he does what he can to be noticed. Coincidentally, what gets him noticed might possibly be traditional Centaurian mating rituals. This would all have been so much easier if Kraglin knew what those were before starting.
My take on the "Yondu's people have neat little mating rituals that other people don't" trope.

Summary
[Time passes oddly. Between one second and the next, Sokka has the Fire Lord pinned to the wall with his hands around the bastard’s throat. Golden eyes (one gold eye, his mind whispers) widen in shock.
“Sokka?” he chokes out. And then he smiles.
What the fuck?
“Sokka, I—”
Sokka slams his head against the wall, once, twice, and the smile wipes off his face. Good.
“What,” Sokka bites out, “have you done to my sister?”]
Or:
An injury leaves Sokka with amnesia. His last memory is of the failed invasion, of leaving his father behind in enemy territory on the Day of Black Sun. Of hopelessness. Rage.
But then he wakes up, and the war is over. Suddenly, he must come to terms with the fact that years have passed, and that he's somehow the Southern Water Tribe Ambassador to the Fire Nation. He is also supposedly friends with banished-Prince-turned-Fire-Lord Zuko, of all people. Close friends.
Yeah, nah.
