Summary
It's Tails's first Christmas in Station Square and he's been whisked into a whirlwind of winter festivities at the hands of Amy Rose. She's determined to share everything the city has to offer with him in order to make this Christmas Eve special—especially since Sonic isn't with them to celebrate. But Tails doesn't mind. It’s only one day out of the year, and it's not like the two of them ever really make a big fuss about it. Sonic and Tails will be fine if they don't spend this Christmas together. No big deal.
However, as the night goes on, Tails begins to have his doubts as making new Christmas memories starts to stir up some old ones.

Summary
How do you stop an unstoppable force?
Three weeks after meeting Sonic, Tails is kidnapped by Doctor Eggman and tasked with building a machine capable of defeating the hedgehog. His success marks his first day as the doctor's secret apprentice, in which he must help the Eggman Empire against his will.
Tails becomes determined to use what little power he has to reduce the empire’s harm. When larger threats arise, he realizes that he can use his influence to save the world—and if all goes well, destroy the empire from the inside out, too.
If only alien invasions didn’t make things so complicated.

Sonic walks over to set the snack tray and his cookie down on the coffee table instead of her desk, a clear indication that this isn't the end of their conversation. He faces Amy, looking her up and down. She really does look haggard.
"Say, when's the last time you've taken a break?"
...She bites her lip.
"Or slept?"
His companion has no answer for him.
