Summary
Life had dealt him a very weird hand, spitting him out of oblivion as a guy in his mid twenties with no memories, no understanding of who he might have been or who he was supposed to be now.
He just woke up one day, lying in an apartment that looked like it belonged in a catalog for tasteful but understated city homes. There was no sign of anyone, just an envelope with a bunch of legal documents that gave him the name Geto Suguru, ownership of the place and a bank account with enough money in it that he would never have to work again.
When Gojo Satoru tried to execute his best friend Geto Suguru, he broke down and couldn't do it. So instead of killing him, Satoru used his Infinite Void to scramble Suguru's head enough to make him lose all of his memories.
Now Suguru was all alone, the only connection to his memories being the mysterious stranger who kept leaving sweets at his doorstep. He intended to do something about that.

He spun around, eyes wide in panic. "Eddie, are you okay—“
His breath caught in his throat.
Eddie was standing there, his face was pale and his eyes were wide with shock. Slowly, almost as if in disbelief, he lifted his shaky hand from his stomach.
Oh.
Oh no.
His palm was wet with liquid that was red in color. It stained his fingers, dripping onto the floor like a leaky faucet.
Blood.
The same blood that once stained bucks own face like drops of crimson on fresh snow.
not again. Please, not again.

Summary
Missing Chris is less of an emotion these days and more of a physical entity. He’s sure everyone can see that he’s slowly hollowing himself out, that he can’t do much of anything else.
But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)

Chimney blinks. “Eddie,” he says. “Who’s Eddie?”
At that Maddie barks out a laugh and claps a hand over her mouth, which is adorable. “That’s funny,” she says, but then her eyes settle on Chimney’s puzzled face. Her eyebrows shoot up. “Wait, you don’t- you really don’t know?”
“Uh. No.”
“What do you- oh my god, he usually can’t shut up about him. I guess it really is worse than I thought this time.”
“This ti- Maddie, please, take some pity on me. What is going on? Who is Eddie?”
Maddie’s face does something complicated then. There’s a flash of sadness, then she smiles, but it seems a little defeated. She scratches her chin and reaches for her wine, before she says, “my brother in law.”or: Chimney and Hen have the new guy figured out. Or so they thought.

Eddie did not know this.

The first thing that happens is a Catholic church in the too-hot Texan heat; Eddie’s hands are damp with sweat and he wipes his palms across his best trousers. His Abuelo smacks the back of his hand to get him to stop and Eddie balls them into tiny fists, slips them beneath his thighs so he isn’t tempted to fidget. So he listens. Listens to the priest, and his droning, and his fire and brimstone, burning-in-hell, shameshameshame talk.
The first thing that happens is Eddie is born. Born wrong, born twisted, born sinning.
He spends the rest of his life trying to make up for it.

The thing Frank said in their first session that kind of stuck was that it’s okay if Shannon wasn’t the love of his life. It’s okay that he loved her, but he might love somebody else more in the future. Moving on is proof of growing.
So, that’s what Eddie has been doing. Moving on.
But then, that meant Eddie had to abandon the belief he should be finding Christopher a mother, and start thinking about what he wanted.
Which opened a whole new can of worms.

“She's hanging out with her uncle Eddie today,” Eddie says, leaning back on his hands. He's smiling when he looks up at Buck, a real smile, and his whole face scrunches happily when Jee-Yun crashes into his side.
Buck feels like he needs to look away, but he has no idea how.
