    Regulus has it all figured out. He keeps men on a rotating roster so none can get too close, works nights as a dancer to make the most of his chronic insomnia, and pushes everything he doesn’t want to remember about the past ten years into the recesses of his mind. It’s easier to pretend none of it ever happened.

    But when James Potter crashes into Regulus’ life with his fancy sports car, wealth beyond measure, and devil’s smile, it marks a switch in the natural order of things. James is a client; Regulus isn’t allowed to fall in love with him. Except James is the first man in a long time who can see past Regulus’ carefully constructed façade, and who could ever resist the temptation of being known?

    He must keep the Horcrux a secret, and he must face death in the hopes of bringing down his master.

    Unless there's another option. One that will keep his head above water and the memories running through the mind of another.

     

    Sirius Black too, is certain. He knows who he can trust;

    He would trust James Potter over any other, trusts Remus and Peter just the same. (Alright, maybe he'd had some suspicions about Remus, but none that he'd admit.)

    Until his little brother is there, cracking open his closest friendships and forcing him to re-evaluate what he knows and what he wants.

    This is such a long story now.

    First thing's first: I ORIGINALLY WANTED THIS TO BE A ONE SHOT.
    Looking back I immediately knew the second I started writing that it would in fact- not be a one shot. Big surprise? No, not at all.

    Second: I wrote this for my best friend and I. We got sucked INTO Jegulus and Wolfstar. It's a rabbit hole we are never getting out of.
    JK Rowling owns all the HP characters mentioned :(
    But the characterization is all me :)

    I know this ship isn't for everyone-

    That being said, this fic does deal with:

    When a person suffered from one-sided love, they’d cough up flowers, and it would only end when the lover returned their feelings in a romantic way. If not, the sufferer would die. It could be treated with magical removal. However, it came with a price. The victim’s romantic feelings and memories of their love interest would correspondingly fade away with the flowers.

    Regulus never imagined that the man he loved would one day be the reason he died.
