so i wrote this back in 2022 when i was going through it as a junior in high school so let's not criticize 16 year old me too much (crying emoji) im just posting this b4 i continue the chat fic i also started in 2022... anyways fic preview:
Scrambling off the floor, bumping into Miyuki as he did so, he pushed past him, not daring to make eye contact again. He quickly went to the door, which was currently blocked by Kuramochi. “Where is Harucchi?” he gasped, voice shaking.
“What?” Kuramochi said in return, in shock at the pitcher in front of him, who was quivering.
“Where is Harucchi?” he asked once more, anger seeping through his words, but still wavering as the thoughts came rushing in.
“Last I saw him, he went to practice hitting some more. Sawamura, are you–?” Before he could finish, the boy forced himself through the little opening left by Kuramochi. He was already sprinting at full speed, and didn’t even stop as Kuramochi called his name. Miyuki had already gotten off the floor, and joined Kuramochi, but this only seemed to make Eijun run impossibly faster.
It was a bit of a blur after that.

Miyuki was soon as breathless as Sawamura. His heart was pounding and suddenly he could hear everything— Sawamura’s breath as he tried to breathe again, the wind lightly hitting his hair, the sound of a conversation happening farther away (some students who decided to take a walk around the school), the rustling of his clothes, and the beating of his heart.
