Yet, this time apart leaves the Targaryen prince with time to think about certain things in his life, namely Ser Duncan. Perhaps, he will finally come to a decision as to how he feels about Dunk so that when his knight returns, Aerion can finally tell him the truth.

When Prince Aerion Targaryen wakes aboard a viking warship, halfway across the seas, he finds himself a captive to a towering warrior who knows nothing of courtly manners and respect.
For Dunk, the return to Storm’s End should have marked the end of a successful raid. Instead of silver, he is saddled with a new thrall. The sharp-tongued, stubborn silver-haired prince proves to be far more trouble than he’s worth. Though Raymun keeps telling him to ‘think of the ransom’.
On a night of the week long celebration feast, far from anything familiar, Aerion finds himself cornered by dangers he cannot fight alone. Pride would have him stand unyielding for a prince never bows. But in this foreign land, he is forced to rely on the one man who now owns him.

Fuck the dragon egg that had not broken open, fuck the gods that had left the dragons to die, fuck the whole dead inheritance of it. He let the thought sit in him for a moment, hot and black and comforting in its ugliness, and then turned a page of the book without reading it.
Or: a self-indulgent porn with plot where Dunk goes to Lys with Aerion and they both fuck about it.

“I didn’t … we didn’t do that,” Dunk said. Aerion’s eyes burrowed into his, dark once again. “You talked of duty,” he said. “I know what kind of duty my brother asks for.”
“The same you do?” Dunk replied, feeling sparks of anger ignite inside himself, Aerion’s flame setting him on fire too. Aerion’s eyes narrowed. “I am a Kingsguard,” Dunk went on. “I serve when I am asked to.” “He should not have asked,” Aerion growled.
“You ask,” Dunk said. “You ask almost every damned night.” Just not me, he thought.
When the royal blood calls, the Kingsguard serve. If only Aerion would ask Dunk to serve.

"You’ll swell with my pups," Dunk said, and the words were a snarl, possessive and dark. "I’ll put them in you – I’ll fill you up – you’ll be round with them, round with my get, and everyone will know. Everyone will see. The prince, swollen with a hedge knight’s bastards –"
