Summary
Detective Lan Xichen is a good cop. He and his partner, Nie Mingjue, make up one of the most successful teams on the force.

The first sign that something was off was the way Lan Xichen was smiling. Instead of his usual gentle curve of the lips, he was grinning widely, bright and unrestrained.
If truth be told, Nie Mingjue didn’t initially pick up on the fact that something was wrong. He was so enraptured by the warmth of those smiles that he didn’t want to question them.
Jin Guangyao was, as usual – and infuriatingly – quicker on the uptake. “Da-ge,” he said in his sickly-sweet voice, “I believe er-ge may have had some wine.”

Summary
