Summary
A year after discovering Nero, Vergil continues to try to make a life for them in Fortuna. He finally feels like he's making progress in his relationship with Nero and getting a handle on raising a child. Things are looking up for both father and son.
But Vergil has long known that nothing stays good forever. A strained relationship with Dante, growing demonic activity in the area, and the reappearance of an old foe threaten Vergil's quiet life. As he begins a reluctant investigation with Lady into the demonic activity, he realizes that he and Nero are not as safe as they had thought.

He aimed for massive riches, and instead winded up in a rigid training regiment from a weirdo living in the mountains… somehow.It happened all after a ridiculous gamble of a hunting trip leaves lone traveler Cloud, off the grid, far from any large settlements, and no way to get back to a main road. Stranded in the enigmatic Northern Mountains, a generous shepard named Sephiroth offers his home for temporary shelter. Matching the mountains the farm is ‘strange’, alongside the resident himself too, who also seems way over-qualified to just be a sheep tender. His farm and homekeeping skills are impressive enough, though Cloud quickly clocks he isn’t only the humble mountain shepard, but also the fiercest sword wielder he’s ever seen. Soon enough finding himself working, training, and living on the farm, and even maybe, perhaps, beginning to like hanging out with Sephiroth... despite that dry humor and stoney-cold expressions.
