Over the years, Luke’s just about seen it all. He and Leia had spent twelve long years growing up in the Imperial Palace while Padme was Supreme Chancellor, and they’re both settling nicely into their own Senatorial careers now that their freshman terms are over. But he’s never seen anything quite like Din Djarin, who’s apparently just won the Mandalorian Senatorial race without ever actually running.
Or, Luke and Din are both Senators and serve on the same committee.

TK-113, Corin, was stationed on Navarro guarding the Client when a nameless Mandalorian bounty hunter takes on a very important job and returns with a bounty worth more than credits or beskar steel. Corin makes a moral decision to disobey orders, a decision that sends his life spiraling out of control. It becomes harder and harder to tell the good luck from the bad, but one thing becomes clear: he will protect the child and the Mandalorian with everything he has.
A retelling of the Mandalorian Season 1 with the addition of Corin the Stormtrooper (LadyIrina's OC). Not part of LadyIrina's AU.

It's several months after season 2, and politics are shifting rapidly in the New Republic.
“One of the delegation’s sticking points in the treaty has been a desire to share risk between the New Republic and Mandalore. They don’t want to sign without an assurance. Apparently it’s traditional to do this... somewhat literally. I don’t get the sense that it’s universally desired, but,” she shrugs a little, “we’re all floundering here. Rebuilding a republic out of a dictatorship isn’t easy.”
“I’m not getting the problem here, Leia. So they want it all in writing?”
She lays it out for him, and Luke can’t say he didn’t ask for it. “They want someone from the New Republic to become the new Mand’alor’s consort. Essentially, they want a hostage.”Luke wants the New Republic to back and fund his plans for the new Jedi Order, Bo-Katan wants Mandalore to rise to its previous glory, Leia wants a system of governance that is functional, and Din wants a nap.
(Or, the arranged marriage fic I had no intention of writing.)

Hell, the men were raised to be protective, so much so that Obi-Wan has often wondered if their protective drive was not written into their very atoms, some intrinsic part of their DNA.
It wasn’t something Obi-Wan had ever questioned. He’d thought he had understood the scope of it. In reality, he hadn’t understood a thing.

It had seemed the best thing to do, when faced with a recently freed child who cries out for his mother in his sleep. Naboo is so close to Tatooine. It's barely out of their way at all. Two days added to their trip back to Coruscant, maximum. If they leave the Nabooian celebration early the Jedi Council won't even notice.
Of course, with Obi-Wan's luck, everything takes a turn for the worse. Anakin's dreams about his mother prove prophetic. Sith burn half of Mos Espa and their ship with it; chase them into the desert, into increasingly dire straits.
He starts dreaming of his soulmate again, too, as though he needs the extra complication.

There is an agonizing moment where DIn feels Luke’s body tense beneath him, his muscles flexing in a way that makes him sure Luke is about to punch or at least push him away, but then something shifts behind Luke’s eyes, as if he recognized the fear in Din's, and before Din can form another coherent thought Luke crushes their lips together and kisses him as if his life depends on it.
