Summary
This is my translation of one of the short stories from the Ace Attorney Fanbook, which was an official publication. The original story is credited to Yuri Shibamura.
The story focuses on Miles Edgeworth hearing about Phoenix's accident in Bridge to the Turnabout (3-5), and also covers the infamous forbidden hospital scene. Somehow, this manages to be the most insane thing I've seen in anything considered official Ace Attorney content and I can't even really believe that this is real.
The fact that I felt uncomfortable tagging this as gen tells you all you need to know.

Miles and Phoenix are low-key husbands. They eloped. The act was for a variety of reasons -- wanting to make the affair more personal, Miles’ desire to keep their relationship private, the impact on their careers if a prosecutor married a defense attorney, the desire to face each other off in the courtroom, the fear of telling friends and family about the relationship, among other reasons.
Yet, Miles and Phoenix aren’t always as low-key as they intend to be. There are slip-ups, where they show more care and affection than they otherwise should. Peculiar events occur -- Miles showing up in the middle of the night without explanation, just to hug it out with Phoenix, Miles grabbing Phoenix by the tie and dragging him off away from the lobby, examining case files together, and much much more.
Hiding the relationship is harder than ever before. It becomes more apparent that they share some desire to reveal the relationship, but they have no idea as to how.

Larry’s words were ringing in his head the whole time he sat in that accursed jet. He felt trapped inside that thing, helpless, unable to make it fly faster, horrified at the idea that he was too late.
Finally, the flight was over, and he stood in the Hotti Clinic, so dazed he couldn’t quite recall how he’d gotten there. He asked for Wright . . . He was there—in the ICU.
The moment he got cleared to visit Wright, he rushed to the room the nurse at the reception desk named, yearning to get an undeniable confirmation that Wright was, indeed, alive, but also dreading to find out just how badly he was hurt.
This idiot would be the death of him.This work fills the gaps in the Bridge to the Turnabout case from Edgeworth’s perspective as he tries to logic his way out of his inexplicable feelings toward Wright . . . Until it dawns on him.
It mostly respects the game's canon, except minor changes.
