Summary
Starlight Glimmer is an earth pony who hates cutie marks, as she never received one. Her only friend as a child was a unicorn who she always compared herself to, wishing she could perform spells and use magic as he could. She hates earth ponies almost as much as she hates cutie marks, and she hates how much better unicorns and pegasi are in comparison. She wants to create a world where everypony is the same, and no one has the chance to be better than her. So, she decides to go off on her own, starting a cult in a small town of simple-minded ponies, where it'd be much easier to control.
In that town, she happens to be the one to find the death note, a notebook that can kill anypony she wants, and anypony who would dare get in her way.
