Summary
Hiroto only survives his fate because Ariu thought to make him the walking disgrace of Ukizane's legacy. Ariu lives because he was tailing Hiroto in secret. Akemura's treatment slowly changes because Hiroto disagreed with treating him like a monster.
In other words, Hiroto eats a centipede. Ariu plans to exact revenge against the Soga over the Mikaboshi's demise. Akemura gets Hiroto as his only visitor. The other five wielders poke at Hiroto over Akemura. Hiroto suffers (more) because he won't reveal Ariu survived. Everything changes.
