Summary
The room is dark and cool, a welcome contrast to Will's overheated skin. He's sweating and the smooth, soft sheets of Hannibal's bed stick to his body, tangling around his limbs. He feels so sensitised that the slide of the fabric against him is almost too much.

Summary
Moonjo suddenly grabs Jongwoo’s hands and guides them back to his throat. Moonjo’s hands were cold as ice but gentle for the first time. He adjusts Jongwoo’s fingers around his throat. “Press here this time…and you’ll need to squeeze harder if you want to kill me, Jagi.”
Jongwoo furrows his brow. “You’re giving up after fighting like a beast?”
Moonjo grins. “I’ve already made you into something beautiful. My masterpiece. Dying by your hand would be poetic…but that’s not what I intend. I just enjoy how enthusiastically you’re trying.”

Summary
Hannibal looks up into Will's eyes and sees the surrounding chaos sinking into them like screams into a pillow. Will's calm expression is puzzling. Surely, with his empathy, the level of distress around them should short every circuit in his mind.
"Didn't you get the news? We're all about to die," Hannibal says.
"Oh, it doesn't matter, I die all the time."
--
After a home invasion gone awry, Hannibal Lecter finds himself dying and coming back to life so often it grows mundane. Mundane, that is, until he realizes he's not the only one.

Summary
Will's greatest fear is that Hannibal might love him intensely, want to consume his mind and body, but not desire him sexually. Sure, Will knows Hannibal slept with Alana and probably Bedelia too. But both were part of his schemes. And he is so murky for his empathy that Will can’t quite read him well enough to understand if sexual desire is part of his character, or if his pathology makes him incapable of feeling something so vulgar.
The mere thought of either scenario gives him intense stomach pain along with horrible mortification.

Post canon. After the cliffside and months of quiet companionship, Will Graham knows what he wants: to sleep with Hannibal Lecter. Of course, it’s not that simple, because the fear that the damned cannibal might seize the opportunity to fuck with his mind again—or worse, that his pathology might render him incapable of feeling something as vulgar as sexual desire—has left Will stuck in a frustrating limbo. In the end, he has no choice but to use the alcohol ruse to test the waters and find out if their relationship can move into the physical realm or not.
