Mary’s hand joined his on her stomach, resting gently over his knuckles, cool and soft and smooth where his mechanic’s hands were warm and callused and rough. “I thought…” she bit her lip and a furrow appeared between her eyebrows. “I thought we could name him, or her, for my parents.”
There was a silence between them shared for a while, a depth of loss and loneliness as they both remembered their parents.
“Samuel,” John whispered to the solid mound of flesh underneath both of their hands. The silence was broken as she smirked slightly and shook her head, rolling her eyes with fondness and sadness and pinched the top of his hand.
“And Deanna, if it’s a girl,” she reminded.
It was a girl.

Summary
When Castiel trades a professor position in Boston to be a high school physics teacher in Lawrence, Kansas, he's looking to start a new life. Though it's a considerable change, he's determined to get away from his family and to make something for himself.
And everything would be going perfectly if it weren't for one senior in his fourth period who is arrogant, brash and a constant distraction. The student does his best to anger and humiliate Castiel whenever possible, and worst of all Castiel fears that beneath his swagger and charm, he may be more genuine than he likes to let on.
Either way, Dean Winchester seems determinately set out to ruin everything Castiel is trying to build.
Fast forward eight years later, and he walks back into Castiel's life when he least expects it.
