Summary
In walks Evan Buckley, a bright red plastic firefighter’s helmet perched on his head. His shirt—if you could call it that—is charcoal with bold yellow stripes; it clings across his torso while leaving far more skin and cleavage bare than covered.
Below that—his legs. Jesus Christ, his legs are almost entirely on display. The matching skirt doesn’t even reach mid-thigh, giving way to thick, tree-trunk thighs before the eye catches on fishnet stockings. Each is topped with a reflective yellow band, the kind that is usually seen across their turnouts.
And then, finally, the look is polished off at his feet—a pair of plain, dark sneakers. Apparently, he hadn’t been able to handle heels after all.
Eddie nearly slips off his barstool, over-rotating in his need to track Buck’s walk toward them.
“Oh, god,” Chimney mutters behind him, but Eddie barely hears it.
Eddie’s brain and eyes are focused entirely and stuck on the plush spill of thigh over the top band of Buck’s thigh-highs. Eddie is fighting tooth and nail against every instinct that tells him to drop to his knees in the middle of the bar and sink his teeth into the flesh there.

Summary
“Buck, it’s a Thursday. We’re not getting drunk on a Thursday.”
Buck shrugs a shoulder, pulling out his shaker and cocktail-making equipment and placing them amidst the chaos of supplies. “We don’t have work tomorrow.”
“Okay, but Chris needs to be picked up at 8 am from Camp and—”
“And I will set a dozen alarms.” Buck beams at him. He already knows he’s won. He knows when Eddie is about to concede. He knows Eddie better than he knows the back of his own hand.
“Buck,” Eddie says warningly, shaking his head like he’s setting his foot down, but Buck knows better.
He leans down on his elbows on the counter, his head placed atop his hands, matching Eddie’s tone with a mock-serious, “Eddie.”
A beat passes. Eddie’s lips twitch up into a half-smile despite himself. Got him.
“...Fine. Prove your point.”

Buck and Eddie get a little (very) tipsy and end up taking Buck's brand-new hot tub for a spin.

Summary
Adriana stops dead in her tracks. Suddenly, there’s a figure looking over the railing. A girl, around her own age, with wide eyes, staring down at her and the blood trailing all over her body.
“Oh, my God,” the girl shouts when her eyes meet Adriana’s.
Adriana stares back up at her and stumbles on her already unstable feet, and it’s not because of the blood loss. It’s because of the literal angel staring her down. Her savior, if you will.
And despite it all, Adriana thinks she could be convinced that maybe God does love her after all. He must, if this is what he’s granted her—this divine intervention.
OR while in Los Angeles for a job interview, unbeknownst to her brother, Adriana Diaz gets hit in the head by fallen space debris and meets a nice girl in a fire station to braid over her wound.

Summary
"Let's go do something fun," Eddie says. "Let's— That was nice, that was great, being with you and Chris in any capacity is enough for me, but—"
And Buck thought he stumbled over his words.
Eddie takes a breath. "Shaving my face and dancing around in my underwear wasn’t enough."
Buck doesn't know what to say. He has no idea what he means. He's just glad the but wasn't the kind he was afraid of.
"Uh, is that a euphemism?"
While visiting his parents in Pennsylvania for the weekend, Buck accidentally sends Eddie a text telling him that he loves him. Eddie, reacting as any normal and sane person would, flies across the country to say it back.
Featuring good food, great company, bad bits, late-night psychics, East Coast gay bars, ghost towns, minor car accidents, and the Buckley parents being the Buckley parents.
or, Eddie has his juice and drinks it too.
