Alastor snickered like the other had just told a good joke, because, well, he had. “I don’t need anybody worrying about me, Vincent.”
“Do you have to need something in order to accept it?” he returned. “Come on, Al. Just… trust me.”Half romantic comedy and half psychological horror, this fic is my take on the events that led up to Alastor and Vox's break off. After having a drunken dub-con hookup they get into a situationship that's one-sided, which Vox is oblivious to, and Alastor is doing on purpose bc he's Like That. It's a dual narrative that leads to the toxic yaoi you know and love.

At first, Subspace tensed, unsure of how to handle the unexpected closeness. He wasn’t accustomed to being held this way, feeling so small and protected in someone else’s arms. But Banhammer's presence was so warm, so comforting, that the tension in Subspace's body began to melt away. His hands, once stiff at his sides, found their way to Banhammer’s arm, resting lightly on the sturdy muscle.
“You're gonna squish me...” Subspace muttered, his voice tinged with teasing, but it was clear he wasn’t really complaining. His small hand moved to gently fiddle with Banhammer’s dreads, his fingers threading through the thick strands. Banhammer let out a soft, pleased sound in response, a rumble of happiness escaping his chest that seemed to vibrate all the way through Subspace’s body.

There's a significant pause as Sebastian realizes that you don't intend to refute her statement. The smile on his face disappears, making way for flattered disbelief.

You stomp over to the table and slam the stack of documents down. "I'm gonna go ahead and scout the next room," you mutter, picking up your diving gear and crawling into the vent. The sound of A092's mocking laughter follows you on your way out.
