That I should date you??”
“Because holing up alone in the dark and stewing in your feelings until you mutate is a better idea?” she asked flatly. “I am so tired of fighting to be allowed to be close to you. Especially when I care about you and I’m pretty sure you also care about me.” She flopped onto her back in frustration, still holding his hand in hers. “Even though I don’t know what the right thing to do for you is … I love you, and I’m going to keep you from losing your mind in here if it kills me.”

After escaping the circus, Abigail managed to move on. She made new friends and even bought her own house with the money she had worked her ass off to earn. She was truly happy. Of course, she hadn't forgotten what happened back there—the circus, the friends she left behind—but she chose to let the past be the past.
Abigail never revealed her real name on any of her social media accounts. Never did, and never would. She usually only added people she knew in real life. In fact, almost everyone in her apartment building was on her Instagram. Well... except for one person.

God, she hated him. He was annoying, arrogant, and selfish. The feeling was entirely mutual, too; he hated her just as much.
He constantly made Abigail's head throb with pain because of the blasting music coming from his apartment. Whenever she went upstairs, banged furiously on his door, and yelled at him to turn it down, he would just smirk and crank the volume even higher. Hell, he even brought girls over sometimes, forcing her to listen to... anyways.Abigail wasn't the type to comment on reels. Usually, she just sent them to her bestie with a quick "us?".
