Warren whipped his head towards the roof of the gymnasium, heart dropping instantly. Perched on the edge of the roof like a perfectly sculpted gargoyle was the wealthiest, snobbiest, most obnoxious boy in town. Everyone knew him. Everyone hated his guts. From his father’s more-than-sketchy developments to his ability to evade any kind of punishment in class, everything about the dude screamed evil. Yet, with slicked back honey blond hair that glowed gold against the orange street lamps, a single lit cigarette dangling from plump, pink lips, and freckles that competed with the star speckled sky above them, Warren couldn’t help but feel honoured to be in his presence.
