When they’re alone, Ilya pops a foot up on the bench of his stall, typing his shoe. It makes his shorts stretch obscenely around his thighs. Shane swallows. Is this a sex thing? If so, Shane will have to shut it down (regrettably). He will not be caught hooking up in the locker room, even if it is with his husband.
“So, how was first practice with the Centaurs, rookie?” Ilya asks.
Shane’s brows knit together. “I’m not a rookie, Ilya.”
Ilya looks at him. “Try again,” he says.
Oh. Oh. This is definitely a sex thing, even if it’s not the kind of sex thing Shane had originally thought. He takes a moment to get into character. “I mean, it was great, Mr. Rozanov, it’s so cool to be playing with some of my biggest heroes.”

“Look,” Sveta says, and Rose follows her gaze to where the men are exiting the living room. “The boys are leaving. We’ve got the room to ourselves. What should we do?” Sveta’s gaze drops down to Rose’s lips, and Rose sits up, putting her wine glass on the coffee table. Sveta follows suit.
Is she really about to do this? It’s not really cheating, if Shane knows about it.
“I can hear you thinking,” Sveta purrs. “Tell me.”
Rose swallows. “Is this the real reason you invited us over? Not for a wife swap, exactly, but a spouse swap?”
Sveta laughs. “Yes,” she admits. “It was our plan the whole time. Ilyusha has had a crush for… Oh, how long since the draft? And I…” She tucks a lock of hair behind Rose’s ear. “Had a crush too.”
“Had?” Rose asks.
“Have.” Sveta is very close to her now. It would barely take any movement at all to lean in and kiss her. So she does.

Summary
Don and Kathy would move in together. They would have a dog or two and then inevitably, a small parade of adorable little brats who would call him Uncle Cosmo, and they would spend less and less time with him, not on purpose but busy with the rest of their lives, and ultimately Cosmo would learn to make his peace with it because he’d have no other choice and he would have to try to move on and not live too much in his memories. He could picture it so clearly, he figured if the songwriting gig with Monumental didn’t pan out, he could always return to the backwater circuit with a new act: The Amazing Cosmo of the Cosmos—ladies and gentlemen, he sees the future, he reads the stars, he silently pines for his best married pal and all the while tap dancing!
Don and Kathy inviting him along on their honeymoon, though—that part was a surprise.
