HUHHH???“We’ll be married someday right?” Nagi kept adding fuel to the rising flames threatening to swallow Reo whole. “I love you..for so long I’ve loved you..”

Despite the light flooding through the windows, Nagi’s personal sky only brightened the moment that streak of violet brilliance graced the room. Nagi blended naturally into the coffee shop's sunflower theme. He became a flower instantly tilting toward the entrance, basking in Reo’s light. The beauty of that seraphic face was unearthly, unparalleled, like a muse one would devote a lifetime to writing and painting praises for, preserving it until the end of time.
The days melted into weeks, and the weeks unfurled into lavender-scented gardens blooming under purple skies. Before he met Reo, waking up was an activity he dreaded, the bicycle ride to the coffee shop was a hassle, it was just a job, and coffee was only a drink.
Now, everything was a pivotal piece of the perfect purple mosaic."

...“Hm?” Nagi turned around abruptly at the sound of his voice, unaware of how close Reo’s face was to his. Reo didn’t have a single second to move away before their faces bumped together, their lips meeting.
Reo’s brain hindered for a moment. The universe poured down a bucket of frigid water right over it, freezing it up completely. But then, the world faded away, melting into warmth. Nagi’s lips were so warm.
Before he could even register what just happened, a loud “meow” broke through the silence. The cat Nagi was observing a moment ago pounced directly onto Nagi.“Whoa!” He instinctively lurched forward, straight into Reo again. Their lips brushed together, lingering for a second longer this time. A stifling sensation squirmed beneath his lungs, and for a moment, he forgot how to breathe.

He didn’t remember reaching for the handle, didn’t feel it turn beneath his hand. The door was suddenly wide open, and everything blurred, his vision narrowing down to the pretty purple rose illuminating the doorway.
“Surprise!” Reo whooped, throwing his hands up in the air with uncontained excitement, smacking Nagi right in the face.“Owie,” Nagi mumbled, backing away slowly as he stared at Reo, taking him in: every little feature, the gleam in his eyes, the sunshine painting his face, the radiant smile. He was so beautiful, bright like lemons, and as lively as a sip of lemonade on an irritatingly hot day. He was here, right in front of him…Real.
“Happy birthday!” Reo grinned, flinging himself straight into Nagi’s arms.
