Utahime thinks she knows Gojo Satoru.
Well, enough to know he’s just her carefree, freakishly strong, lanky underclassman who loves to make fun of her all the time.
Yeah, she thought, even though he is the strongest sorcerer of their generation (what a title), he was still just a little kid in the end. He was immature, arrogant, and didn’t like following the rules. A pain. But otherwise, he was as normal as a person with his powers could be.
Yet.
There were moments where his behavior would change, around her specifically. Behavior that was concerning to anyone who watched with a close enough eye. Behavior that would change Utahime’s view of Gojo as just an annoying kid to something else entirely.

It's becoming a hotspot for negative energy.”
He paused, adjusting his sunglasses as he braced for her reaction.
“You are the most qualified candidate for this infiltration due to your background in music and your innate technique. Your mission is to embed yourself within an idol agency, identify the source of these curses, and exorcise them quietly from the inside.”
Shit.
Utahime’s mouth hung open slightly. "An... idol agency? Sensei, you can't be serious.”

Gojo Satoru has always been a pest, but as a cat, he's a literal terror. He has always had too much to say, and Utahime has always had too little patience. When a curse replaces Gojo's voice with a set of whiskers and soft white paws, Yaga assigns Utahime the task of protecting the Persian menace. Gojo's decided that the best way to spend his nine lives is by ruining Utahime's, one broken dish at a time.
Between demanding premium tuna and naps in her lap, who knew it would take a language barrier for them to learn to communicate? A few purrs and head scratches later, and she'll be head over heels for her new fluffy friend. Hopefully, he's still as good a listener once the curse wears off.

For one beautiful moment, he watched the emotions play across her face. Shock. Disbelief. The briefest flicker of something that might have been consideration.
Then her expression sharpened into something dangerous.
“I’m not going to beg for something you stole, Gojo!” Her voice rang out across the garden, loud enough that he was genuinely surprised no one came running. “You can’t just take things that aren’t yours! That’s not how the world works!”
