Goro gently caresses Ren between the shoulder blades, hoping to subdue the trembling that has now overtaken his entire body.
Ren's mother eyes these gestures with suspicion. "That's it," she mutters bitterly, her stare so intense that it could almost burn a hole right through the box. "Give the neighbours something else to talk about."
Or: Ren reluctantly visits his hometown and Goro comes along for the ride.

Summary
The man that comes bursting through the doors looks like if someone took all of Megumi's vaguest fantasies, put them in an oven, and baked them until done. He's tall, broad, buff but not too buff, and to top it all off he's got wide brown baby-cow eyes and a head of fluffy pink hair. Boyish. Cute. He is also, noticeably, bleeding from a nasty-looking cut right beneath his eye.
Pink Hair looks around wildly for a moment before locking eyes with Megumi and making a beeline for him. Megumi raises a brow as he heaves a cat carrier onto the counter, bracing both of his hands on top of it like he's trying to stop it from jumping off.
"Hi," Pink Hair pants, as the carrier gives a sudden rattle and lets out an ear-splitting shriek. Megumi takes a step back. "Do you guys take demon cats?"

Summary
These injuries, the small things like broken fingers and bruised knuckles and bruised knees, those are battle marks, things Megumi received with dignity. Most of his life has been served to him on a silver platter; this, at least, he knows he earned.
With a plop, the dumpling Megumi tries to hold between the chopsticks falls back into the broth.
"D'ya want help?" Yuuji asks, already scooting his chair over and snagging the utensil from Megumi without an answer, infinitely more coordinated as he snags a dumpling without popping it.

Summary
Yuuji exhales a soft laugh as he relaxes, fingers threading back into Megumi’s messy hair, combing through the tangles with gentle care. “Missed me?”
Megumi’s answer is barely a word – just a muffled affirmative grunt against Yuuji’s skin, low and rumbling. His hand moves from where it had been resting on the mattress, sliding lazily across Yuuji’s side until his palm spreads flat over Yuuji’s stomach again, thumb tracing agonizingly slow circles there.
The touch is tender, comforting, an unspoken reminder: you’re here, and I’m keeping you here.

Summary
Loss has carved deep channels through Megumi’s very essence over time, all the way down to his bones, his soul, to the darkest of places that even Yuuji himself can’t touch; and into those channels has seeped a yearning so careful, so restrained, so scared, that Yuuji wonders sometimes if Megumi ever even allows himself to feel its full weight.
In the distance, the family keeps walking. The boy’s laughter fades. Megumi still doesn’t move.

Summary
The silence drags for so long that Megumi’s not sure if it’s seconds that have passed, or minutes, or hours.
“Does it help?” he finally asks.
Yuuji hesitates before answering; his gaze flicks to the jacket, dark with guilt, then back to Megumi’s face, searching for judgment and finding only quiet permission. He lets out a shaky exhale and gives a tiny, almost imperceptible nod. “Sometimes,” he whispers.
It’s the most honest thing he’s said all night.

Summary
“Swallow,” he growls, the command vibrating against Yuuji’s lips, his hand.
He watches Yuuji’s throat bob, the muscles working, and the brat cries harder, shoulders shaking, tears hot and fresh. The sight is intoxicating, power rushing through Sukuna’s veins like a drug.
“Want to stop, ‘Gumi,” Yuuji sobs, tears hot and fresh against Sukuna’s fingers. “I don’t like this.”
Sukuna ignores him and presses the burning cherry of his cigarette against Yuuji’s collarbone, killing the fire, and tosses the butt onto the floor. The brat flinches, gasping, but doesn’t pull away, too pliant, too far gone.
“Don’t be a bitch,” Sukuna says.
Sukuna was aware that his twin brother’s boyfriend, Itadori Yuuji, was drunk and horny and who was Sukuna to deny the gorgeous brat from getting his ass wrecked?

Summary
The problem begins with Yuuji’s hand brushing his on the train home, which means means nothing (of course).
Megumi knows this, because Megumi is a rational person who absolutely does not lose sleep over accidental contact with his best friend.
Except then Yuuji starts pulling away, and Megumi realises the only thing worse than being touched by Yuuji Itadori is suddenly not being touched by him at all.
