Just then, a thought appears in Ricky’s head, one so mortifying it makes his ears burn. He condemns himself silently for even entertaining such an idea. The younger man only stares at him, eyes shifting around his face and Ricky’s sure he’s noticed the sudden color to his cheeks.
He looks at Gyuvin a little harder then, really looking, ignoring the way it causes him to stiffen up in response. Despite being as rigid as ice, his eyes still have that little sparkle to them, cheeks rosy and Ricky can feel his self-control slipping.

Cheers erupt, before being quieted down again by a gesture of the announcer's arms.
"In just one minute, midnight will strike and we will finally face the next ruler of our nation in his full, presented glory."
Gyuvin scans the crowd, as he usually does, for anyone suspicious, but when his eyes land on the prince again, fear strikes him.
Ricky is ghastly pale.
There are a few beads of sweat collecting near his hairline, and his lips are slightly parted as short breaths seem to escape his lungs.
Something is wrong.

Or; Ricky, crown prince and heir to the throne, is expected to present as an alpha, just like his father and all the royal men before him.
Naturally, things don't go as planned.

Summary
Matthew can admit that he invites Gunwook out to the swimming hole for less than pure intentions.
It doesn’t take much convincing, either: they’d both been up since 7 A.M. working on the house and the yard, laboring under the hot August sun, and sweat through their clothes by the time 9 A.M. rolled around. During a water break, Matthew sidles up and asks, the paragon of innocence: “How do you feel about going for a dip?”
Gunwook swallows before answering. Matthew stares openly at the prolonged bob of his throat. “‘A dip’?”
“A swim? Recreationally entering a body of water and paddling around to cool off?”
“You could’ve just said ‘a swim’ the first time, hyung,” Gunwook replies, but he smiles to soften the sarcasm. “Do you think your parents will mind?”
“We’re not going to get in trouble. I bet those two are inside ‘looking for something’ and taking a nap. They won’t even notice we’re gone.”
Or, Matthew convinces Gunwook to take a break from home and farm renovation shenanigans so they can partake in other shenanigans instead

Summary
There’s no such thing as ghosts.
Except, he could feel the weight of Ricky’s gaze. He could see the way the mattress dipped beneath him. He could hear the quiet, steady rhythm of his breathing.
"...but they can’t move on because something is keeping them here," the words echoed in Gyuvin’s head.
Gyuvin inherits a mansion from someone he barely knew, let alone liked, and is required to live in it for a full year. Weird. The someone in question—Ricky—is haunting the mansion. Weirder.
(or: boy inherits a haunted mansion and develops a deeply inconvenient attachment to its resident ghost.)

Then Ricky moves in Gyuvin's lap in order to reach over and grab his tattoo pen, which results in a whole different set of signals being sent to Gyuvin’s brain. His right hand flies up to take ahold of Ricky’s waist, halting his movement. Ricky raises both brows at him, puzzled.
“Maybe do a little less of that,” Gyuvin breathes out uneasily, eyes shifty.
“A little less of…” Ricky’s eyes steer down towards the point of connect between them, before he trails off half-heartedly.
