Putting the lighter in his pocket. Asking out the cute goth who, as far as he knows, narrowly avoided a brush with a Leitner.
Gerry told himself it was only going to be one date, just to see what it was like. How was he supposed to know he'd get attached?

Even if it put him at odds with Gertrude Robinson's former assistant.
The good news is that there are far worse things to contend with than a disgruntled Jonathan Sims.

The thing in Nico’s body smiles, and says, “Yeah.”
So simple, just one simple word, but it makes Percy’s whole face light up, until he’s beaming from ear to ear the way he sometimes does at Annabeth, or his mother, or Grover, or Tyson, or anyone who’s not Nico, and Nico thinks to himself bitterly that maybe he should just give up the struggle and let himself fade forever, because this thing inside him is apparently so much better at making the people Nico loves happy than Nico himself ever was.
OR, Nico is possessed and the thing in his body tries to jump Percy’s bones.

Percy winces at the groan and flash of pure pain on Nico’s face when he gently pulls the sleeve off, holding Nico’s hand like that will help. He throws the jacket onto the bed behind them -- that goddam leather jacket that makes Nico look five years older and makes Percy want to push him down onto the bed and kiss him until his cheeks flush and -- shit. This is what Rachel was talking about, isn't it? Fuck.

Summary
Jon's reflection is just as he remembers. A memory of getting ready this morning, another of spotting his reflection in a car window on the walk home. The details are recent, but they feel distant. Unblemished skin. Long, mostly-black hair. Tired eyes. What else would he look like?
He leans in, looking at himself in the mirror. Unblemished? No, he can see them. The ghosts of little circular scars. Worms, he thinks, though he doesn’t know where the memory comes from, From Prentiss. Prentiss? As in Jane Prentiss? When did he encounter Prentiss? Is he being haunted by the ghost of himself, eaten to death by worms?
But no, that’s not right.

It was just an ordinary walk to a restaurant. Tim had insisted that if they were going to talk, there would be no tape recorders or weird Archives ghosts listening in. A bit of fresh air wouldn’t kill him, Tim had said. What could go wrong?
By the time Jon spots the white delivery van, it’s much too late.
The Stranger kidnaps Jon. Tim comes along for the ride.
