Summary
In the Tyne and Wear Department of Magical Management (DMM), kelpies, wayward spells and unauthorized druid rituals are par for the course. Which isn't to say Merlin Emerson hasn't been noticing some strange events. Or that Gwen Smith hasn't been approached by highly questionable characters. Or that Morgana Pendragon hasn't seen troublesome things in her dreams. Or that Arthur Pendragon, recently moved from the London DMM office, hasn't made disturbing revelations about the nature of magic. And who knows what Gaius is thinking?
Best to treat it like another day in the office. -

Summary
Ethari was a weaponsmith, not experienced in the ways of combining magic and metal. Sure, he could make little trinkets, he often did, but they served no purpose. The heartblooms however, they took a while until they were functional, and he was always perfecting them, every single day.
He had had to learn magic beyond his realm of knowledge, had to learn how to enchant, to weave the moon’s power throughout his creations. And it took a lot of effort. He was never as strong as the others in the first place.

When your husband is the leader of the assassins, it's only right that Ethari would worry. Any goodbye may be the last. Any kiss, any lingering looks. Sooner or later, Runaan won't return, so Ethari does everything he can to ensure he knows if the love of his life is okay.

Contains some really good relationship negotiating and Zhao Yunlan being good at reading people and respecting their boundaries.

Draco has erosmancy (the ability to make him sexually attractive to pretty much everyone he wants), making him a dangerous weapon unless he learns to control his powers. Blaise, being immune because of his mother, has to help and watch as the fiasco unfolds.
Blaise is such an interesting narrator and it's fun seeing this happen from his pov.

Maybe he just wants to wallow in his misery with someone who hasn't extended judgement even to the most disturbed, depraved individuals on the planet. Or maybe he wants a fucking beer and a place to sleep that doesn't remind him of crucifixion and court-mandated bureaucracy and disappointed stares.
The point is, he's here. God help him, he's here, at the doorstep of the most infuriating, self-obsessed, socially-blundering genius in the FBI. Because his judgement is so shot that this seems half-way close to a good idea.
