    “You’re wrong. I really am Soobin.” Yeonjun gave a snort of disgust, but Soobin kept going. “They- they did something to me. I know I’m Soobin – I’m Choi Soobin, 23 years old, born in Ansan. But that’s just… I don’t remember anything else.”

    Yeonjun just stared at him. “I don’t believe you.”

    Soobin had admittedly never kissed a man before, but he hadn’t imagined it being much different from kissing a girl.

    Yeonjun was taller than any of the girls Soobin had kissed so he didn’t have to bend over as much. His lips were far plumper. And the way growled in the back of his throat when Soobin nibbled on his bottom lip was a sound no girl he’d kissed had ever made. It made Soobin’s stomach do a weird flip flop. Yeonjun angled his head and slid his tongue into Soobin’s mouth and fuck this was real. The only sounds Soobin could hear were the slick sounds of their lips moving together and his own heartbeat thudding wildly in his ears. He squeezed Yeonjun’s waist - his tiny, perfect waist - and felt it rather than heard it as Yeonjun sighed and melted into him. This was easily the best kiss of Soobin’s life.

    “Cut!”

    It was the best kiss of Soobin’s life and they were only acting. Jesus Christ what had he gotten himself into?

    Or, Choi Soobin is an actor popular for his handsome face. Not taken seriously in the entertainment industry he gets the chance of a lifetime when renowned director, Go Minhyuk, offers him a lead role in his newest indie film opposite top actor Choi Yeonjun.

    There was a wave of murmurs that went through the crowd, and Soobin heard a woman’s wail. He couldn’t feel his body anymore, and he couldn’t hear the rest of the soldier’s speech over the buzzing in his ears. His sister’s hand found his, and she held it tightly. He looked at her. Arin, who was the only alpha left in their family. Arin, who had a painful limp from when she’d been injured in the same merchant’s accident that had killed their parents.

    Arin, for whom the draft would be a death sentence.

    The sunrise was just starting to bleed into the purple sky when Soobin made up his mind. He couldn’t let his sister, who’d already given up so much for him, make this sacrifice too.
