She feels like she's in a dream. She stares at Manon, eyes tracking all over her body, greedily drinking her in. Her cutoff shirt and shorts. Her waist beads. Her little septum piercing — the one she was never allowed to wear, with the group. Her hair, braided, and long, and lighter in color than when she'd last seen her. Her tan lines.
She's glowing. She looks well rested, and healthy, and Sophia's stomach aches, and there are months of space between them, but it feels like years.
"You can't just summon me, you know," Manon says, quietly. The anymore is implied—and it hangs in the air between them.
Sophia blinks at her.
"I mean. You came… so…" she says.
___OR: Sophia impulsively meets up with Manon at Coachella.

“Not in a weird way,” Lara elaborates, gesticulating stupidly with her free hand. Holy shit, she wants to kill herself. “I just need to ratio butchstag on Twitter.”
“Oh, I didn’t know that deer could be gay now too,” Sophia says confusedly, clearly still weirded the fuck out. “Love is love, I guess.”
