I don’t need his attention, Mark told himself firmly, but the words lacked conviction.
His gaze kept flicking toward Haechan, drawn to the familiar sight of his easy grin, the way he leaned into the conversation, completely at ease. And it struck Mark how much he had gotten used to Haechan being in his space—his constant teasing, his presence.
That thought made Mark’s breath catch. No. I don’t need him around. I don’t.
But the more he thought about it, the more he realized how much he missed that attention. How, despite always acting annoyed, he had started to look forward to it.
He clenched his fists, frustrated with himself. This is stupid. He shouldn’t care. Haechan was just a friend, someone who had barged into his life and forced him out of his bubble. That’s all it was. But then why did it feel so different now?

Summary
The first thing Doyoung notices is that Johnny’s Instagram did not do him justice.
Doyoung has to look up at Johnny, meaning the guy easily stands over 6” tall. His head is a mess of dark hair, sticking up in odd places like he might’ve just taken a nap, but it works infuriatingly well with his softer features -- round cheeks, kind eyes and bow shaped lips that are clearly used to smiling if the lines are any indication. He’s built with lean muscle that still makes him look broad under his oversized t-shirt, and of course, there’s the tattoos: a colorful balance of flowers and animals that covers his entire left arm, fascinating in a way that makes Doyoung itch to get a closer look at each one.
He doesn’t, of course. Instead, he snaps out of it once he realizes he’s been staring at Johnny for a beat too long and scrambles to extend his hand, hoping the way his neck and face are heating up can be excused by his nerves and not how utterly fuckable his tattoo artist is.

"I guess." Soonyoung makes a face at him, clearly not having it. “Okay. Yes, he does,” Seungkwan concedes.
"Then why are you being so stupid? You guys are best friends!"
Seungkwan stays quiet for a moment, he doesn’t really know how to say what he’s thinking about, but he can tell Soonyoung is running out of patience, so he just closes his eyes and lets it out. “I think I have feelings for his brother.”

Vernon glances up from where he’s spreading cream cheese on half a bagel, blowing his hair out of his face so he can look at Seungkwan properly. It’s a weekend, which means no work, which means Vernon leaves his bottle of hair gel untouched on the counter and lets his hair do whatever it wants. This specific Saturday, right in that nice pocket of autumn weather that all those love songs seem to be about, there’s a single cowlick at the back of his head, and his bangs are doing that flopping thing right into his eyelashes - all boyish, and rumpled, and cute.
Seungkwan hates weekends. More specifically, he hates how much he likes Vernon’s hair on weekends.
“That’s not very romantic,” Vernon says. It takes Seungkwan a few seconds to remember what the context is. “I thought you liked roses and chocolates and stuff.”(or: seungkwan accidentally writes his own love story. vernon stares, and waits.)

Ever since he got back, Donghyuck tried not to touch him as much in fear of exposing himself too much, of igniting everything that he had thought to be over.

"You would shit your pants over Jaemin," Mark sounds out the name, shrugging the words on to see how well they fit. The answer is not the way he thought they would—definitely oversized on the frame of Donghyuck's personality, very much foreign on Mark's tongue, and a fashion statement to make when worn anyway. “Are you sure you mean Jaemin?"
