Someone with a better sense of when to leave things alone might’ve apologized and excused themselves from the conversation. Then again, someone else would probably have felt embarrassed to be chewed out in such a biting way.
Instead, Roman finds himself intrigued by Gerri Kellman, something he can say he’s honestly never felt before.
