" 'Come on,' Sam wheedles. When that gets no response, he employs a different tactic. 'I'll physically drag you out of here if I have to.'
Scoffing, Gabriel jerks the pillow down to his chest and arches an eyebrow. He barely manages to swallow the 'I'd like to see you try' taunt that hits the tip of his tongue, because on second thought, no, he would not.
'Cuddle me, moose,' he says instead, patting the space beside him.
'I — excuse me?' "
Or, Gabriel is sleep deprived and consumes way too much caffeine, and it leads to a most interesting result.

Summary
Infinity War Fix-it fic. The Avengers and their allies are losing the battle against Thanos. As New York falls, Loki finds his way into Dr. Strange's sanctuary, where Strange guards the last remaining Infinity Stone, locked away in the Eye of Agamotto.
All Loki has to do to fix it is to go back in time, all the way back to before he let the Jotun into Asgard during Thor's botched coronation, and change things. Fix the past, and he'll fix the future.
The only problem is Loki hasn't considered what exactly is waiting for him in the past. Or more precisely, who. Thor is back there, and he's even more bloodthirsty and uncontrolled than Loki remembers.

That twists something in him that hasn't been tweaked in centuries. No… Decades. Not since that ephemeral moment Gabriel had felt the world shudder as Lucifer's vessel—Sam Winchester—came into being. As that bright soul was entrusted into his care, beguiling him to go so far as to visit the child's nursery. He'd watched as Mary Winchester put her newborn down to sleep and then stole close to the crib when she'd left, leaning low over the edge, and finding a pair of warm, hazel eyes staring at him.
It always comes back to those eyes.

You'd think being relentlessly pursued by a tall, dark and handsome hunter would be an exciting game of chase. Until it wasn’t.
Gabriel was growing bored of Sam Winchester’s constant tailing, still obsessed with getting his brother back, even though the Trickster was doing the kid a favor by offing Dean, thank you very much. He had to make this entertaining again, this new merciless killing-machine-Sam was no fun.
They entered into a deal: Sam would work a case under the guise of a Trickster to see the reason behind the mischief by serving up a case of Just Desserts. If Sam won? He got Dean back. If he lost...well, Sam wasn’t going to lose, no matter the cost.
Except, seven days of living on top of one another made Sam see beyond the monster who ruined him and back to the witty, cute janitor he met at Crawford Hall. There was also the problem of the two men, who were clearly attracted to each other, alone in a motel room for a full week. It was an accident waiting to happen.
The puzzle was, neither knew who was manipulating who, if it was all a ploy or real emotions were coming out to play. The only thing both men recognized was something real was happening.
And they were running out of time.
