“Ryder?”EMF tries to bring back one of Evbo's old friends as a way to prove his love and loyalty to his new partner. He does this without knowing exactly how Ryder died, or, more importantly, what happened to their body all those years ago.

His mind recognized the voice before he could even consciously remember her name, turning his head to see the familiar face of none other then Mary Davis.
She looked just as gorgeous and just as young as the last time he’d seen her maybe forty years ago or so. Her curly hair was tied back elegantly in a bun, with bright red lipstick that accentuated the sharp set of fangs behind her lips. Her dress matched her lipstick, deep red and covered in sparkles with fabric that hugged her perfectly.
Arthur was glad that he was incapable of visibly blushing because she’d always made him feel warm in the cheeks. Their eyes met when he turned around, and she gracefully slid onto the barstool next to the black-haired vampire.
“Arthur! Long time no see.” She laughed airily, everything about her posture as perfect and pristine as he remembered.

Summary
Void had been a close companion of Arthur for the many years he’d spent as a vampire. She was the one creature in the hellscape of kindred that he could always trust, even if she was just a cat. Though, not only did Void act as a friend and close companion, she also had the uncanny ability to assist Arthur in any more…emotional situations he found himself in.
