The smug, cooing edge in the alpha's voice rubbed him the wrong way, and oh, how he wanted to beat some sense into the alpha.
“Listen, pup,” Yeonjun gritted through his teeth instead, holding onto the edge of the table to refrain himself from actually punching Soobin’s pretty face and tuning out the alpha's scent to keep an edge to his voice, “I’m not sure if you know how it works, but the older I get, the harder it’ll be for me to give you an heir.”

Yeonjun’s Christmas plan was simple: avoid snowflakes, avoid feelings, avoid tall boys with fluffy hair, glasses falling off their noses (annoyingly cute) he once drunkenly made out with.
Then Family Christmas day happens, and Yeonjun meets exactly irritatinly cute said boy in his own damn kitchen, as his sister’s boyfriend’s brother.

"I thought about asking you out, back when you dyed your hair." Soobin lifts his head, startled. Yeonjun is smiling, small, almost shy. He raises a hand to push some of Soobin's fringe off his eyes.
"The blond hair really did it for you, didn't it?" Soobin jokes, trying to sound nonchalant.
He's not. He had blond hair in their second year. That was two years ago.
Yeonjun giggles. "It was a very good look. And with the glasses? Delectably nerdy." Soobin rolls his eyes and nuzzles back onto Yeonjun's chest. He's taller than the other, so he needs to bend his knees to keep his feet inside the bed, but he doesn't really care about that.
"Why didn't you?" Soobin asks after a while. "I would have said yes."
OR, on the night of graduation, Soobin and Yeonjun come to terms with all the time they lost.
