Summary
Peter sees now, that he misjudged him and was not at all fair to him. He wishes at this moment that he could return with all the knowledge he knew now. He was a good person before, but Wade?

He has bettered him in every which way.
"Wade," he said suddenly, turning to his partner with a minuscule sense of urgency. Up here, on an isolated rooftop with the man he's learnt so much from, it all felt like cotton candy and sunshine. It felt like someone was about to spit down at them. "You don't have to leave."
A pause. Slowly, Wade withdrew the spring roll and ghost-blinked up at Peter. He looked like a kid who got caught shoving the family dog into their own clothes. A swallow. Peter shuddered. From the cold. Obviously. "…Huh?"

"Goddamnit." Wade bit out, wrapping gauze tightly around a wrist that had already turned transluscent, all the blood that had poured from its veins painting the floor. "Shit."
It was pointless. But he tried and tried and tried. He stitched the gore, he mopped the floors, and he sat across the living room floor; staring endlessly forward, waiting for His chest to rise again.
Wade dances the ever so familiar tango with Death, and has to escape arrest from the interdimensional police.

You can have it all.Once the makeshift cast was tightly wound around Peter’s wrist, he exhaled and looked down with pressed lips. A stint weighing down his shoulder. “Don’t move it too much. I don’t have a cast. Got somethin’ in another safe house but,” Wade placed a hand on his hip, digging his pinky into his ear. “I’ll fetch it tomorrow.”
Dropping his arm, Peter looked back up at him. “So, doc, what’s the meal plan…? My prescription for a broken wrist?” he questioned with interest and faint flirtation, really just wanting to lay down and curl up around a warm body standing before him.
“Yeah, don’t fuckin’ move it.”

Peter finds himself going home to Wade's apartment instead of his own after a long patrol.

“Almost hit me that time,” came the flimsy tone. Cassian sighed and lowered the gun, turning his head to look at the crouched figure.
“Shouldn’t you be finding some better purpose or cosmic reason of being, ‘Nel?” He asked, heavy with irritation. His voice is deep, modulated from his rebreather.
Funnel cocked his head, looking like a wild animal. His hair was collecting the slow falling raindrops, claws gripping the ledge of the roof. “Sounds too important. We both know I’m not here for long,”
He crawled down the side of the building, hooking himself onto the railing of a lower fire escape. “‘Sides, you looked like you could use the company.”
His voice is… hopeful, Cassian notes. But its torn on its vocal cords and pulled taut by his larynx. Years of abuse and pain. His eyes flick to the cracks in his mask. “I do not,” The rain gets a little heavier. Cassian holsters his gun and removes his rebreather. “If I did, I’d probably have gone with Ramirez. Not you.”
