Summary
Robert had a terrible day. Stuff that wasn’t work-related, he had said when they first sat down. He held it all inside, everything except for the barely choked out admission that the lollipops and candies he frequently indulged in never really served to sate his sweet tooth. Flambae and Robert… they were something like friends. And Flambae… he was something of a hero now.
Heroes did good deeds for their friends.
or
Flambae has a secret genetic anomaly. Robert has a oral fixation that comforts him. They bond.

Summary
Flambae tries to remember when their relationship morphed into…whatever this is. Not quite enemies anymore, but not friends, either.
Flambae doesn’t think he can be ‘just friends’ with the man - his feelings long turned from pure, unadulterated hatred to staring at the way the light fractures off the different shades of brown in his eyes.
He went from wanting to punch the man in the face once a week to counting the freckles splattered on his cheeks.
