She was in reach of the waterfall, when it happened. Pain bolted through her veins as she screamed soundlessly under water, her blood rushed in her entire body, flaming to the injured area. The tears of grief and loss were replaced with tears out of pure pain and agony.
She did not dare to struggle, for there was an arrow in her peduncle. Blood was coloring the water with red, surrounding her rapidly, smirking at her with mockery. If she moved, the arrow would cut her tail. So she arched her body and reached for the long arrow. Her fingers curled around the unbreakable metal and tried to break herself free, struggling to pull the arrow out.
She fought for her freedom.
