At the door, she stops and glances over her shoulder with a stern expression. “I mean it, Val. Talk to him. I don’t give a shit if you two have to rip each other apart and spend the next week putting yourselves back together, but we can’t keep going like this—something’s gotta give.”
After narrowly avoiding the end of everything as everyone knew it, Valentino is stuck cleaning up a mess he never imagined he'd have to deal with. But saving the Vees and their empire from social and financial ruin isn't even the most important thing. No, if he's being entirely honest, burying himself in work is just an excuse for him to avoid something that he's not entirely sure he's ready for.
