Baby steps. That’s what Clorinde tells herself as she tries and fails to casually liaison with Navia.
(Okay, so maybe not fail; Navia has indulged in every single one of Clorinde’s requests, even the stranger ones. It’s like her brain breaks at the sight of Navia, like Clorinde is incapable of making a halfway decent suggestion. Sharing an early lunch after a mid-morning stroll? Normal. Inviting Navia out to grease gun barrels? Definitely not normal, even if Navia’s mouth had twisted into a grin at the accidental double entendre. The point is that Clorinde is bad at this, impressively so.)
